Open to residents of the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland only, aged 18 years+, excluding employees and their immediate families of Walkers Snacks Limited (the “Promoter”), its affiliated companies, their agents or anyone professionally connected with the competition.

By taking part in this competition, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions of which entry instructions and promotional information form a part.

Purchase necessary. To enter, log onto www.snackajacks.co.uk and enter your batch code which is found on the back of promotional Snack A Jacks packs in the following varieties and flavours: (i)Single: caramel; salt & vinegar; sour cream & chive; BBQ; cheese; prawn; and sweet chill; (ii) Multi: caramel; salt & vinegar; and sour cream & chive; (iii) Popcorn Multi: butter toffee; and (iv) Jumbo: salt & vinegar; cheese; caramel; and chocolate chip.

Then, enter what must-have you want and why in no more than 40 words and in the English language (“Must-Have”). Entries are restricted to one entry per household per day and provided each entry uses a different code from a different Snack A Jacks promotional pack and does not contain the same or a substantially similar Must-Have as a previous entry made by that household. No bulk, consumer group or third party entries will be accepted.

The opening date for the receipt of entries is 00:01 on 15th May 2009 and the closing date is 23:59 on 31st December 2010 ("The Promotional Period"). The Promoter reserves the right to extend the competition at a later date at its sole discretion. The Promotional Period will be split into monthly "Judging Periods" running from 00:01 on the first day of the calendar month until 23:59 of the last day of that calendar month for each month that this competition is open.

The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify incomplete, altered or illegible entries, as well as entries which contain bad language, any sexual, racial or violent references or any other content deemed inappropriate by the Promoter in its sole discretion. No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost, damaged, delayed, technical error, telecommunications error or website fault. Proof of sending if not proof of receipt

Each Must-Have validly entered in this competition in accordance with these terms and conditions will be judged against other valid Must-haves received in the same Judging Period by the independent judging panel on the following judging criteria of equal weighting (the “Judging Criteria”):

• Originality and creativity
• Tone: cheeky, direct, sassy, humorous, insightful, real

The above Judging Criteria will be used by the judging panel to determine whether a valid entry received in a particular Judging Period is to be awarded the prize.

Valid entries received during a particular Judging Period will be judged by an independent judging panel for that particular Judging Period only in accordance with the Judging Criteria specified in paragraph 7 above. The judging panel will use such Judging Criteria to determine whether or not to award a valid entry received during a particular Judging Period a prize. Judges’ decision is final.

The panel of independent judges will make their decision for each Judging Period as to which valid entries received in that Judging Period will be awarded the prize within 7 days of the end of each month. Prize winners only will be informed by telephone and in writing by email only within a further 7 days. All reasonable effort will be made to contact the prize winners, however if any prize is not claimed by a prize winner within 28 days the prize will be forfeited.

Monthly Prize: There is 1x monthly prize of £200 in gift vouchers at a retailer of the winner’s choice (subject to availability).

UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands: The prizes will be awarded in the form of gift vouchers at a retailer of the winner’s choice (subject to availability), which will be sent to winners by post in accordance with paragraph 12 below. These vouchers can be used for payment of purchases in any retailer store accepting the vouchers. All vouchers must be used by the expiry date.

The prizes will be delivered by recorded delivery post to the winner’s designated address within 28 days of the winner claiming their prize.

Republic of Ireland: The £200 prize will be awarded in the form of a personalised cheque in the Euro equivalent at the time of award in the winner’s name only, which will be sent to winners by post in accordance with paragraph 12 above.

The Promoter reserves the right to provide an alternative prize of equal or greater value in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

Prize winners may be required to participate in related publicity.

A list of the names and counties of the prize winners will be available for a period of 1 month after the closing date of the relevant Judging Period by sending an SAE to Snack A Jacks ‘Turning must-haves into can-haves’ competition, Promotional Handling, PO Box 6914, London W1A 1FN. Alternatively, the names and counties of the prize winners for each Judging Period will be posted on www.snackajacks.co.uk.

As conditions of entry into this competition, and by uploading a Must-Have in this competition, you the entrant:

1. warrant and represent that you own all rights to the Must-Have you are entering in this competition, and that your Must-Have: (a) is original to you and has been legally obtained and created, (b) does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights or any other legal or moral rights of any third party, or violate applicable laws or regulations; (c) has not been entered in or won previous competitions or awards; and (d) has not been published previously in any medium;
2. irrevocably assign with full title guarantee to the Promoter and its affiliates, legal representatives, assigns, agents and licensees, all rights, title and interest in the Must-Have you are entering in this competition so that the Promoter can use your Must-Have in any media throughout the world for any purpose, without limitation, and without additional review, compensation, or approval from you or any other party;
3. forever waive any rights of privacy, intellectual property rights, and any other legal or moral rights that may preclude the Promoter’s use of the Must-Have you are entering in this competition, or that may require your permission for the Promoter to use it for any purpose, and agree to never sue or assert any claim against the Promoter’s use of your Must-Have entered in this competition;
4. agree to indemnify and hold the Promoter and its respective affiliates, officers, directors, agents, co-branders or other partners, and any of their employees (collectively, the "Competition Indemnities"), harmless from any and all claims, damages, expenses, costs (including reasonable legal fees) and liabilities (including settlements), brought or asserted by any third party against any of the Competition Indemnities due to or arising out of your Must-Have or entry or the Promoter’s use thereof, or your conduct during and in connection with this competition, including but not limited any and all claims, damages, expenses, costs (including reasonable legal fees) and liabilities (including settlements) relating to infringement of a third party’s trade mark, copyright, or other intellectual property rights, infringement of a third party’s right of publicity, infringement of a third party’s right of privacy or defamation;
5. agree to release and indemnify and hold harmless the Promoter from any and all claims that any commercial, advertising, presentation, web content or any other material subsequently produced, presented, and/or prepared by or on behalf of the Promoter infringes on the rights of your work as contained in any Must-Have; and
6. agree to provide, immediately upon request by the Promoter, full and frank details of the source and origin of your Must-Have.

The decisions of the Promoter and judging panels are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The prizes are non-transferable, non refundable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part.

Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party (other than the Promoter’s agencies for the purpose of servicing/implementing the competition and prizes in the UK, Isle of Man, ROI and Channel Islands) without the individual’s prior consent.
